This x1000
GM fucked up by not offering T-tops on
the new Camaro. T-Tops are what defined the Camaro for years.

Indeed, from my 90s dream car list:
And others must agree, as these are still crazy expensive.

This is great, a coworker here just got a new pup and named it Targa. We’re going to make him a little Porsche crest for the collar tag.

Too bad the roofline doesn’t flow better into the flying buttresses, this is otherwise amazing.

N ot perfect but so much better than the con vertible IMO :
Top down it looks like a skateboard:

Eesh, that does look weird. Straman was supposed to have done nice work, wonder if that’s one if his. Think there were different developments of it. This particular Koenig TR was a childhood dream car:
I also just found a picture of a red targa, I think it hides the awkward lines pretty well :

Yes.

I don’t disagree on cars like the Corvette or Ferrari, but cars designed from the ground up to be a vert like the Miata or the Sprite are better as verts.

I holy agree. Too bad those Trans AM Depot cars are so expensive , but damn they do amazing work.

Those t tops leaked like a sieve.

They fixed that in the early 90s. The seals did not leak :o)
I like the plastic T-tops they used in the late 3rd gens. Much lighter than glass, and plastic doesn’t shatter. Unfortunately, they do scratch easily, so people complained.
But I’d rather have lighter
scratched plastic than heavy
shattered glass

As seen on “Out Run” for the Sega Master System, I remember it clearly:

Not the best application. But yes targa is best. Preserves the roof lines, safer and more durable and more insulated and less complicated and less heavy
than a soft top or hard top. Only down side is the faff of removing it

No.
If I’m going for the open-top experience, I don’t want to half-ass it.
